Meet Dr. Farris

Dr Farris is an internationally known expert on the treatment of facial aging. She was voted by the readers of Gambit magazine as the Top Dermatologist in New Orleans and a top cosmetic physician for the metro area. In her practice she specializes in non-invasive, non-surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation including, lasers, Botox™ and dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Juvederm™, Sculptra™ and Radiesse®. She is a frequent lecturer at cosmetic meetings and teaches other dermatologists how to utilize these techniques to achieve optimal patient results. She was chosen as a clinical investigator on the pre-approval clinical trial for Dysport™, a Botox-like wrinkle relaxer that has recently gained FDA approval. Dr Farris is among a select group of physicians who will train other dermatologist on the use of Dysport™.

Dr Farris is an authority on the science behind cosmeceutical skin care products. She uses them to complement procedures treating facial aging with a unique integrated approach. She serves as a consultant to major cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies and is often called on to evaluate new skin care products. She was the first dermatologist to test the cosmeceutical system Natural Advantage™ and has been featured in its commercial with actress Jane Seymour. This cosmeceutical system has a loyal following and is used by millions of women across America. Dr Farris has thousands of her own patients on this cutting edge anti-aging system. 

Dr Farris has a master’s degree in physiology and medical degree from Tulane. She completed her residency in dermatology at Tulane where she served as chief resident. She is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr Farris is also a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Dermatologic Association, The Women’s Dermatologic Society and the International Society for Cosmetic Dermatology.

Dr Farris serves as a spokesperson for the American Academy of Dermatology and received two presidential awards from the Academy for her outstanding efforts in communications. She has appeared in over 200 health-related television segments on dermatology including appearances on CNN, NBC News, Kathy and Regis, The Tyra Show and Good Morning America. Dr Farris is a regular guest on New Orleans top rated morning show WWL-TV (CBS affiliate). She has been quoted extensively in newspaper and magazines including Allure, Prevention, O Magazine, Elle, Shape, W, In Style, New Beauty, Real Simple, Good Housekeeping and the New York Times.
