Meet Dr. Rogers

Dr. Nicole Rogers is a board certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She received her undergraduate degree at Harvard University and her medical training at Tulane University in New Orleans. She has performed hundreds of cases of successful hair transplantation in both men and women.

Dr. Rogers underwent specialized fellowship training in the field of hair transplantation by completing a year-long fellowship in Manhattan with Dr. Marc Avram. She is a graduate fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, and writes a column for the Hair Tranplant Forum International. She has spoken at the ISHRS meetings in Montreal, Boston, and Anchorage. She recently won a prize for her poster presentation using dermoscopy for the diagnosis of hair and scalp disorders. She has a special interest in scarring (cicatrical) alopecias such as lichen planopilaris and frontal fibrosing alopecia.

Dr. Rogers has written numerous articles on surgical and medical treatments for hair loss, including contemporary techniques in hair transplantation, minoxidil, finasteride, and the use of low-level light therapy (LLLT) for hair growth. Together she and Dr. Avram published a textbook on hair transplantation, and have written chapters for several other textbooks on lasers and skin. She serves a volunteer faculty at the Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans, and enjoys teaching dermatology residents at both Tulane and LSU.

Dr. Rogers is a contributing editor for the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, and serves as the physician member for the Lousiana State Board of Electrolysis Examiners. Her other memberships include the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Women's Dermatologic Society, the Cicatricial Alopecia Research Foundation, and the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.

Dr. Rogers has a passion for treating both men and women with hair loss, using the most up-to-date medical and surgical techniques. Her professional demeanor and specialty training make her an asset to the practice and valued resource for our patients.
